Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
Eligibility Criteria
Academic Qualification:
- Students must have passed the 2nd PUC examination of the PUC Education Board, Bangalore, or any other equivalent examination.
- Subjects Required:
- English (as one of the languages)
- Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (as optional subjects)
- Minimum 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (12th Std./Second Year PUC).
- For SC/ST candidates: Minimum marks requirement is relaxed by 10%.
NEET Examination:
- NEET qualification is mandatory for admission.
Age Requirement:
- Candidate must have attained the age of 17 years as of 1st October of the admission year or as prescribed by the university.
Eligibility for Foreign Students:
- Foreign students can seek admission if:
- Their basic qualification is recognized by the university.
- They submit an equivalent certificate from the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi.
- They obtain an Eligibility Certificate from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka (RGUHS).
- The marks sheet must specifically mention English as a subject.
- Marks sheets mentioning only "Foreign Language" may not be sufficient for eligibility as per university guidelines.
Additional Requirements:
- Any changes in eligibility criteria will be subject to updates by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka, which can be checked on the university website: www.rguhs.ac.in.
Non-Karnataka Applicants:
- All Non-Karnataka applicants seeking admission to BAMS must obtain an "Eligibility Certificate" issued by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka, Bangalore.
